The Ethereal Bond portrays the divine feminine, and aims to represent every element of femininity including the grief, the melancholy, and the hardness of womanhood that even queer people are burdened by. We accomplished this extension of femininity via connection between the muses, utilizing a range of fabrics and accessories we attach to different points across the spectrum of the feminine, and using makeup to extend and accentuate the muses’ feminine features. Our intentions with the setting was that there is nothing to be found, one might be considered lost if they were found there, but in connecting with each other and with the femininity we are all blessed and burdened by, we find peace, power, and hope in an honest celebration of it.
